1X’s NEO humanoid robot is available for $20,000 to buy outright or $499 a month on subscription. A refundable $200 deposit secures a pre-order. The first announced deliveries are for the United States.

As of 19 October 2026, 1X Technologies lists two pricing plans for its NEO home robot: Standard, a subscription, and Early Access, which gives ownership of the robot. These list prices in US dollars cover different services, particularly in terms of warranty, support and delivery priority.

1X NEO pricing: Early Access purchase vs Standard subscription

The Early Access plan lets customers buy NEO outright. According to 1X’s catalogue, it includes:

  • Ownership of the robot for $20,000.
  • A 3-year warranty.
  • Premium support.
  • Priority delivery.

The Standard plan is based on a monthly subscription of $499 a month. According to 1X, it includes use of the robot, a set of starter productivity features and standard delivery.

The manufacturer therefore separates a purchase that comes with a warranty and enhanced support from a plan that gives access to NEO in exchange for recurring payments.

Is the 1X NEO pre-order deposit refundable?

1X asks for a deposit of $200 at pre-order, whichever plan is chosen. The manufacturer describes it as fully refundable.

1X’s pre-order terms, updated on 28 October 2025, add an important detail: customers can cancel their reservation and get the deposit refunded in full up to 14 days after their invitation to order is sent. After that period, the deposit becomes non-refundable.

The payment places the customer on a waiting list. It is not a firm order for the robot. A later invitation allows the customer to complete the purchase or subscription, subject to acceptance by 1X.

For a purchase, the balance must be paid before the order is finally accepted. For a subscription, a minimum number of monthly payments may be required in the sales invitation. 1X also reserves the right to change prices and options before acceptance.

What household tasks can the 1X NEO do, and how autonomous is it?

NEO is designed to help with household chores. According to 1X, its Redwood artificial intelligence allows it to learn and repeat certain tasks. Early users are due to receive a robot with basic autonomy, which is expected to improve through updates.

For complex tasks NEO has not yet mastered, the manufacturer offers an Expert mode: a 1X operator can remotely supervise the robot’s movements during scheduled sessions.

NEO also has a voice interface and a mobile app for scheduling tasks, communicating remotely and controlling the robot. 1X also announces an automatic charging feature.

The accessories shown with the robot include a charger, a lint roller and a carrying case.

When will the 1X NEO ship? First US deliveries in 2026

1X lists the start of US deliveries in 2026. The Early Access plan comes with priority delivery, while Standard subscribers go through the regular delivery process.

For French buyers, this geographical distinction is essential: the sales timeline published by 1X concerns the United States and is not an announcement of a launch in France.

According to the manufacturer’s pre-order terms, the order in which invitations are sent may depend, among other factors, on the customer’s country of residence and the plan chosen. The actual delivery date is communicated during the ordering process.
