The Lingxi X2 is the compact humanoid in the AgiBot range. It stands about 1.31 m tall. The Chinese manufacturer offers it in several versions, and their names vary by channel. Its website lists an X2 and an X2 Ultra. Its online store sells an X2 Ultra New Version, an X2 Neo, an X2 REC and an X2 EDU. In China, it launched in 2025 under the names Youth, Interactive, Exploration and Flagship. The price depends on the channel and the date. It is listed in dollars on the official store, in yuan in China and in euros at Joybuy and OpenELAB.

AgiBot X2 versions: one compact humanoid, several variants

AgiBot’s press release of 24 February 2026, issued in Munich for the launch of its range in Germany and Europe, classes the X2 series among its “compact” humanoids. It sets the series apart from the A2 (full-size), the G2 (dual-arm industrial robot) and the D1 quadrupeds. In the release, AgiBot describes its range as “deployment-ready”.

The agibot.com website shows two versions, the X2 and the X2 Ultra. It displays no prices and does not allow direct purchase. Instead, it points visitors to a partner form, a purchase request form and a sales contact. The page states that the final commercial version may differ from the published images and specifications.

The official store, store.agibot.com, lists four variants in its X series:

  • X2 Ultra New Version, with a “View product” link;
  • X2 Neo, with a “View product” link;
  • X2 REC, with a “Contact sales” link;
  • X2 EDU, with a “Contact sales” link.

During the pre-order phase in China, Jiemian reported three versions: Interactive, Exploration and Flagship. The article is dated 22 May with no year, most likely 2025. At the commercial launch on 18 August 2025, Jiemian and The Paper cited an X2 Youth, an X2 Exploration and an X2 Flagship.

AgiBot X2 specifications

The table brings together the specifications AgiBot has published in two places: the X2 page on agibot.com (X2 and X2 Ultra versions) and the X2 Neo product page on the official store.

Degrees of freedom: 25, 28 or 30 depending on the source

Sources disagree on how many degrees of freedom the X2 has. Three figures are in circulation:

  • 25 degrees of freedom: this is the figure given on agibot.com for the base X2, which has no neck joint and 5 degrees of freedom per arm. The retailer OpenELAB uses the same figure for the model it sells, listed as “X2 25 DOF”.
  • 28 degrees of freedom: this is the figure reported by IT-Home in its article of 8 December 2025. The Chinese site also gives a weight of 33.8 kg, lower than the 35 kg announced by AgiBot. The same values appear in a TechNode article of 11 March 2025 on the unveiling of the Lingxi X2, according to a search result whose page has not been checked (to be verified).
  • 30 degrees of freedom: this is the figure given on agibot.com for the X2 Ultra and on the official store for the X2 Neo. The difference from the base version comes from a neck joint and 7 degrees of freedom per arm instead of 5.

Top speed: 1.8 or 2 m/s

The agibot.com website quotes a maximum walking speed of 1.8 m/s, with a peak of 2 m/s in the lab. The X2 Neo page on the official store simply states “up to 2 m/s”, under lab conditions. Both sources agree on a typical speed of 0.8 m/s or less.

Navigation and development support by version

The official store draws a clear line between the two versions it sells online. According to its product page, the X2 Neo “does not include autonomous navigation hardware or secondary development support”: it has neither autonomous navigation hardware nor support for secondary development. The X2 Ultra New Version adds both, with a 3D LiDAR, an RGB-D camera and an Orin NX board.

In the French press, avcesar also describes the Ultra version as having extra joints, additional sensors and better spatial positioning. Le Journal du Robot highlights its multi-sensor vision, voice-synchronised choreography and software updates.

What the AgiBot X2 is for, according to the official store

AgiBot’s store assigns a use case to each variant:

  • the X2 Ultra New Version to guided tours, service and interaction (“guided tours, service and interaction”);
  • the X2 Neo to performances and interaction (“live performances and interaction”);
  • the X2 REC to data collection for robot learning;
  • the X2 EDU to robotics education and development.

In China, Jiemian described the X2’s sales model in May as “B to B to C”. AgiBot acts as the supplier, and partners handle consumer-facing scenarios. Reception and service applications are covered on the Reception and service robots page.

AgiBot X2 key figures: about 1.31 m tall, about 35 kg (39 kg for the Ultra), about 2 hours of battery life at 0.5 m/s and $25,600 for the X2 Neo in the official store

How much does the AgiBot X2 cost? Prices by channel and date

The amounts below are given in the currency of their source, without conversion. They do not all refer to the same version or the same period. For an overview of the market, see the Humanoid robot prices guide.

Official AgiBot store (October 2026)

When checked on 22 October 2026, the X2 Neo page on store.agibot.com showed a sale price of $25,600. The X2 Ultra New Version is available on quotation. The X2 REC and X2 EDU pages point to a sales contact. The store’s home page shows no prices and no stock status. The footer reads “Global · English”, with no list of countries.

The X2 Neo page refers to the store’s shipping policy for shipping costs, taxes and import duties. It recommends confirming installation, training and warranty with the sales team before ordering. Returns follow the store’s general policy.

The shipping policy sets out the following:

  • all orders ship from China;
  • most orders are dispatched within 5 business days;
  • delivery is estimated at 5 to 30 business days after ordering, with air freight possible;
  • batteries may trigger several inspections;
  • delivery times are not guaranteed (“Delivery times are not guaranteed”);
  • shipping costs are calculated at checkout;
  • customs duties may be charged on arrival, and all tariff costs are borne by the buyer (“All tariff costs are the responsibility of the buyer”).

China: price at the August 2025 commercial launch

On 18 August 2025, AgiBot announced that its entire range was on sale, according to Jiemian. On the manufacturer’s 智元商城 store, the Lingxi X2 Youth was listed at 98,000 yuan. The X2 Exploration and X2 Flagship versions had no listed price and carried the note “contact to buy”.

The Paper confirms the same price of 98,000 yuan for the X2 Youth, on pre-order. The newspaper says the robot was also offered on JD.com (京东商城). This second channel does not appear in Jiemian’s article.

Earlier, during the pre-order phase reported by Jiemian in May, AgiBot gave an overall range of 100,000 yuan to 400,000 yuan for the three versions, Interactive, Exploration and Flagship, without a price for each. Reservations were made on AgiBot’s official website.

France: promotional pre-order on Joybuy (April 2026)

On 22 April 2026, Le Journal du Robot reported that the X2 was available for pre-order on Joybuy, a JD.com platform. The site presented it as “deliverable in France”, “from €17,889“.

The same day, avcesar gave two prices, described as promotional: €17,889 for the base version and €36,889 for the Ultra version. The site described an order with home delivery.

According to a deal posted on 21 May 2026 on the German bargain site mydealz, the Joybuy price then reportedly dropped to €18,999 from €25,999. Another mention refers to €17,885. These amounts come from search results whose pages could not be opened, so they remain to be verified.

OpenELAB price and warranty

When checked on 22 October 2026, the retailer OpenELAB’s page for the X2 25 DOF showed €31,498.95. The price carries the label “incl. VAT”, but the same page also contains an “excl. VAT” label. It is therefore not certain whether the amount includes or excludes VAT.

OpenELAB lists the following terms:

  • shipping from China within 5 to 10 business days;
  • a choice of two options: direct shipping from China, or import by OpenELAB, which then handles customs and VAT;
  • warranty, under the policy in force on 17 July 2026: a 12-month limited warranty for customers outside the European Union, the minimum 2-year legal guarantee for EU consumers (separate from the commercial warranty), and 12 months for business buyers unless agreed otherwise in writing.

The page uses the base version’s figures: 25 degrees of freedom, 1.31 m, 35 kg, a 500 Wh battery and about 2 h of battery life. According to a search result for OpenELAB’s X2 collection, whose page has not been checked, the site also shows sale prices of €29,999.00 for the X2 and €49,999.00 for the X2 Ultra (to be verified).

Europe: Minth as sales agent

In its Munich press release of 24 February 2026, AgiBot names the automotive supplier Minth Group as its strategic partner and sales agent for the European market. Minth has teams in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Poland and Serbia. Its factories are to serve as training grounds and data collection sites. The release gives no prices.

Yicai Global, on 25 February 2026, cites William Shi as AgiBot’s general manager for Europe and the Americas. Purchase terms are covered on the Can you buy an AgiBot robot? page.

AgiBot X2 production and deployments

In May 2025, according to Jiemian, Wei Qiang expected large-scale deliveries in the second half of 2025, followed by several thousand units by the end of 2026.

On 8 December 2025, IT-Home reported that the 5,000th humanoid robot to come off AgiBot’s lines was a Lingxi X2. The announcement came from Peng Zhihui, the company’s co-founder, president and chief technology officer. The next day, 36Kr gave a breakdown of those 5,000 units:

  • 1,846 Lingxi X1 and X2;
  • 1,742 Yuanzheng A1 and A2;
  • 1,412 Jingling G1 and G2.

Customers are not named. The scenarios cited are reception, performances, industry, logistics sorting, security and inspection, data collection, research and education.

One hundred X2 robots in Asda stores

According to Yangzi Evening News, on 28 September 2026, 100 Lingxi X2 robots were installed in 100 stores of the Chinese cookware maker Asda (爱仕达). They work there as “in-store promoters” ten hours a day, from 10 am to 8 pm. The operation was accompanied by a three-day livestream across three cities starting on 28 September. The article mentions neither a price nor how the robots were acquired, whether by purchase or rental.

What the demos show

In its article of 8 December 2025, IT-Home notes that the X2 performs only simple tasks in the videos released by AgiBot. The site considers that the robot still performs poorly on complex, generalised tasks. The speeds of 1.8 and 2 m/s claimed by the manufacturer are maximums, partly measured in the lab. The stated typical speed is 0.8 m/s or less.

What we do not know yet

  • The disagreement over degrees of freedom has not been explained. It is unclear whether the figures of 25, 28 and 30 correspond to separate versions or to changes in the model over time.
  • No established correspondence exists between the versions sold under different names (Youth, Interactive, Exploration, Flagship, Neo, Ultra New Version, REC, EDU).
  • AgiBot has not published an official European price for the X2, either including or excluding taxes, for any version.
  • The official store does not mention VAT and gives no warranty period for the X2 Neo.
  • The delivery date and warranty for the Joybuy pre-order are unknown, as is whether any deliveries have actually taken place in France.
  • It is unclear whether OpenELAB’s price includes or excludes taxes, and the X2’s stock status at this retailer is unknown.
  • Minth’s pricing and the arrangements for after-sales service in France are unknown.
  • Current X2 prices on JD.com are unknown.
  • The breakdown of X2 units by customer, the share sold to individuals and the terms of the Asda deployment have not been made public.
