Oli is the full-size humanoid from LimX Dynamics, a Shenzhen-based company founded in January 2022. Unveiled on 30 July 2025 as a “general-purpose” humanoid robot, it stands 165 cm tall and relies on two separate compute units, one for motor control and one for perception. LimX ships it with an open SDK. The manufacturer details its EDU configuration on a dedicated specifications page. Pre-orders opened in China on launch day, with an entry price covering the whole series.
LimX Oli: a 165 cm humanoid robot built for developers
The official product page presents Oli as a developer platform. It highlights a complete Python environment, a modular SDK, open high-level and low-level APIs and a complete URDF file for sim-to-real transfer. Manuals, guides and code samples round out the package. Simulation is compatible with NVIDIA Isaac Sim, MuJoCo and Gazebo, “among others” according to LimX.
TechNode describes the SDK interfaces as “fully open”. They give access to robot state and sensors, low-level joint control and task scheduling. According to both TechNode and IT-Home, Oli is aimed at artificial intelligence researchers, robotics developers and solution integrators.
The robot also has interaction features. LimX lists bilingual voice interaction in Chinese and English, plus 15 preloaded interactions and dances. The dance library is updated over the air (OTA). IT-Home specifies that these OTA updates cover both the action library and the controller.

31 or 33 degrees of freedom: two official figures
LimX’s website gives two different totals. The product page states “up to 31 degrees of freedom in total”: 2 for the head, 7 per arm, 3 for the waist and 6 per leg. The launch announcement reported by TechNode and IT-Home also gives 31 degrees of freedom, specifying that this figure excludes end effectors. The specifications page for the EDU version, however, lists 33 active degrees of freedom.
Yet the breakdown by body segment is the same on both pages: 6 per leg, 7 per arm, 3 for the waist and 2 for the neck or head. Added up, it comes to 31.
Compute and sensors
The architecture is built on two independent compute units. The first, an RK3588, drives the motors. The second, an NVIDIA Orin NX module rated at 157 TOPS, handles perception. An optional backpack fitted with an NVIDIA AGX Orin 64 GB raises available computing power to 275 TOPS.
The 6-axis IMU is developed in-house, according to the product page. That page mentions depth cameras on the head and torso. The specifications page adds a hip camera, a wrist camera mount and a LiDAR. IT-Home lists voice, vision, touch, IMU and LiDAR among the external sensors.
Battery life, interfaces and end effectors
The 9,500 mAh battery is quick-swappable. It slides out and provides about an hour and a half of runtime. The product page lists USB, Ethernet and power interfaces, and states that several end effectors are available. The specifications page lists five: a humanoid hand, a 5-finger hand, two 2-finger grippers and a 3-finger gripper. IT-Home, for its part, mentions compatibility with a 2-finger gripper and a 5-finger hand.

LimX Oli versions: Lite, EDU and Super
At launch, TechNode and IT-Home reported a three-version range: Lite, EDU and Super. LimX’s product page only mentions “several versions of the LimX Oli series” and warns that some features may be missing depending on the version. The specifications page describes only the EDU.
US retailer Robotics Center publishes a specifications table for an “Oli Lite”. It lists a net weight of 40 kg, 55 kg maximum with the battery, 31 degrees of freedom and a runtime of about 2 h with the 9,500 mAh battery. For compute, only the RK3588 with 8 GB and 64 GB appears in this table. According to the same retailer, the depth cameras, LiDAR and hands are not included. Secondary development and the controller and sensor APIs are listed as “not available”.
LimX Oli price in China at launch
LimX opened pre-orders for Oli on 30 July 2025. The headline of the official news item announced a price “starting from” RMB 158,000. IT-Home reported the same amount on launch day. This entry price applies to the Oli series, which comes in three versions. It does not specifically correspond to the EDU configuration described on the specifications page.
Dollar conversions vary from one outlet to another. TechNode, on 31 July 2025, put the entry price at $21,800. CnEVPost, on 2 February 2026, estimated it at about $22,730.
The order page on the official website is not an online store. It is a sales enquiry form where Oli is listed alongside Luna, TRON 2 and TRON 1. The LimX team commits to getting back to the enquirer within 24 hours.
LimX Oli prices at retailers outside China
In Germany, Funduino offers an “Oli EDU” at €84,999.00 incl. VAT, shipping extra. The page states delivery within 21 working days and lists 31 degrees of freedom. The package includes the pre-assembled robot, documentation, the SDK, motion libraries, examples, the power supply and accessories.
In the United States, Robotics Center lists the “Oli Lite” at $46,600.00 excl. taxes. Shipping within the US is estimated at $1,424.50, for a pre-tax total of $48,024.50. The product is being restocked, with a standard lead time of four to six weeks. Buying options are covered on a dedicated page: can you buy a LimX Oli?
LimX Oli public demonstrations
IT-Home announced Oli’s first public demonstration for 8 August 2025, at the World Robot Conference (WRC) in Beijing. On 13 August 2025, LimX published a news item on Oli’s appearance on CCTV and on the award the robot won at the WRC. On 30 September 2025, another official news item was headlined on Oli picking up tennis balls “fully autonomously”.
What we do not know yet
- The official price of each version (Lite, EDU, Super) and the price of Oli outside China. LimX has only published the series’ entry price for the Chinese market.
- The contents and specifications of the Super version, which no source details.
- The official differences between Lite and EDU. For the Lite, only a retailer’s data exist, including for weight and runtime.
- The reason for the gap between 31 and 33 degrees of freedom on LimX’s website, which the manufacturer does not explain.
- The warranty period that applies outside China and how after-sales service is organised in Europe. The specifications page states 12 months without specifying the territory covered.
- Whether there is a retailer based in France. Outside China, the only European retailers identified for Oli are in Germany.
- Actual delivery times for Oli, the number of units delivered and the identity of customers. LimX has not published any news on Oli deliveries. The “several thousand orders” mentioned in July 2026 by 36Kr and ChinaVentureNews concern the whole range, with no breakdown by product.
- Oli’s place in the range since the launch of the Luna humanoid in May 2026. Nothing has been published on this.
