Can you buy a Figure 03 robot in 2026? As of 20 October, Figure AI officially presents its humanoid as a home helper able to carry out everyday tasks. Yet its website shows no public price and no way to place an order. Known deployments include BMW, while the company says it is ramping up industrial production.

The commercial status of the Figure 03 rests on three things: a robot pitched for the home, documented industrial work, and a factory that, according to the company, can sharply increase output. For background on the manufacturer’s positioning and its successive robot generations, see the page on Figure AI.

Is the Figure 03 for sale to consumers?

The official Figure 03 page, consulted on 20 October 2026, presents a general-purpose humanoid robot designed for everyday tasks. Figure describes its home positioning with phrases such as “built for real homes” and “the future of home help is here”.

The company highlights the robot’s ability to do laundry, clean and wash dishes on its own. It is designed to move around homes with stairs, narrow passages and layouts that may change. Figure also says users can talk to the robot, ask it questions and give it tasks.

This residential focus is a commercial direction that Figure states openly. Alongside it, company announcements and information published by BMW document work in the automotive industry and in logistics.

BMW and Catalyst Brands: Figure’s known commercial deals

BMW: a documented factory deployment

BMW is one of the most detailed examples of Figure humanoids being used in an industrial setting. The carmaker brought the Figure 02 into its plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, before continuing the work with the Figure 03.

The 2025 pilot with the Figure 02 lasted ten months. According to BMW, the robots contributed to the production of more than 30,000 BMW X3s, notably by positioning body parts for welding.

The Figure 03 handles a different job: it sorts loose components and places them on a sequencing cart. This is part of production logistics. The work takes place in the expanded Hall 52 at the Spartanburg plant.

Figure recorded the transition in its official timeline with an announcement titled “F.03 Arrives at BMW”, dated 30 June 2026. On 30 September, the company also published “F.02 Decommission”, marking the retirement of the previous generation.

Figure explained that it had retired its Figure 02 fleet as the Figure 03 ramped up. The old robots were destroyed in a furnace of molten steel in Finland, in an operation filmed with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Catalyst Brands: an agreement announced in May 2026

On 26 May 2026, Figure announced an agreement with Catalyst Brands to expand operations involving humanoid robots. The agreement appears in the company’s official timeline.

The available information covers only the announcement of the agreement, with no detail on how it will work in practice.

Figure 03 specs: height, weight, payload and battery life

The Figure 03 was officially unveiled on 9 October 2025. It stands 1.73 m tall and weighs 61 kg. Figure quotes a 20 kg payload, five hours of battery life and a walking speed of 1.2 m/s.

Information published by BMW adds detail on the robot’s design. The Figure 03 has a soft textile covering on parts of the head, torso, arms and legs, intended to improve safety in the event of a collision. Its hands have been redesigned and include tactile sensors as well as cameras in the palms.

BMW also mentions audio features and wireless charging. The carmaker cites a battery life of about five hours, consistent with the figure on Figure’s official spec sheet.

BotQ factory: Figure says more than 350 robots delivered

Manufacturing capacity is a key factor in assessing Figure’s commercial progress. In April 2026, the company said its BotQ production site had delivered more than 350 Figure 03 robots, according to eWeek.

Figure also announced faster production. Output reportedly went from one Figure 03 per day to a demonstrated cycle time of one robot per hour, a 24-fold increase in throughput in under 120 days.

The company released several manufacturing metrics:

  • More than 350 Figure 03 robots delivered by BotQ, according to the April 2026 statement.
  • A demonstrated cycle time of one robot per hour.
  • A first-pass yield of 99.3% on the battery line, with more than 500 packs shipped.
  • An end-of-line yield above 80% for complete robots.
  • A stated capacity of up to 12,000 humanoids a year for the first-generation BotQ line.

The annual capacity of 12,000 units is an announced industrial potential, not a volume actually built, delivered or sold.

The Figure 03 was redesigned for mass production. Figure cites die casting, injection molding and stamping, processes suited to making components in large runs.

The company also says the Figure 03 is significantly cheaper to build than its predecessor. This claimed reduction concerns manufacturing costs, not an announced selling price.

Helix: the AI behind the Figure 03’s household skills

The Figure 03 also relies on Helix, Figure’s artificial intelligence system. The company describes it as a generalist vision-language-action model that can learn and improve as it acquires new skills.

According to Figure, Helix runs on board the robot and controls perception, movement and reasoning in real time. The company says this allows the Figure 03 to operate without following a predefined script.

A series of announcements shows Figure’s work on household tasks. On 27 January 2026, the company unveiled Helix 02 and its full-body autonomy. It then announced demonstrations of tidying a living room in March and a bedroom in May.

On 17 September 2026, Figure presented Helix 2.5 through an evaluation it says was carried out in 30 homes in the San Francisco Bay Area. Three tasks were involved: putting away 13 to 15 toys in a living room, folding towels and making a bed.

Figure says it used a single frozen model across all 30 homes, with no partial credit in the evaluation and with zero-shot generalization. The policy pre-trained on Index, its dataset of human behavior, reportedly achieved a 56% success rate, compared with 9% for a policy trained from scratch.

The company also says Helix 2.5 matches the success rate of Helix 02 with half as much adaptation data. These results come from evaluations reported by Figure.

The technical development of the system is covered in the page on Helix, Figure’s artificial intelligence.

Industrial production vs home use: why they are separate questions

Figure is developing a humanoid pitched for households while also running operational projects with companies. Both strands appear in its official communications, but they do not involve the same conditions of use.

At BMW, the Figure 03 performs a defined task of handling and sorting components in a factory. Figure’s household work focuses on laundry, tidying, cleaning and handling objects in homes.

Technical demonstrations are part of this progress. One video shared by Brett Adcock shows a Figure 03 climbing three steps of a steep staircase with a fixed handrail. Adcock describes the sequence as autonomous, with no teleoperation. The robot scans its surroundings several times and moves slowly. The outlet heise online considers it likely that Helix was used for the demonstration.

On the manufacturing side, the BotQ announcements concern building robots and increasing production capacity. On the software side, Helix development concerns learning, perception and task execution.

Figure’s timeline brings these steps together: the Figure 03 unveiling in October 2025, the production ramp-up announcement in April 2026, the Catalyst Brands agreement in May, the arrival of the Figure 03 at BMW in June and the Helix 2.5 presentation in September.

What we do not know yet

As of 20 October 2026, Figure’s official website lists no selling price for the Figure 03, no public ordering process and no waiting list on the pages reviewed. How a private individual could obtain a robot therefore remains unknown.

Several key commercial details have not been disclosed:

  • Price: no public price, list price or acquisition cost for the Figure 03 has been established.
  • Availability: no consumer launch date and no delivery schedule have been announced.
  • France and Europe: no confirmed commercial availability and no distribution terms specific to these markets.
  • Lead times: no ordering, manufacturing or delivery lead time for buyers has been published.
  • Waiting list: no public sign-up process has been indicated.
  • After-sales service: no warranty, maintenance or support terms have been specified.
  • Software: no terms for SDK access or for opening up the software platform have been detailed.

The official technical documentation also leaves several questions open, including battery capacity, detailed charging specifications, full specifications for the hands and sensors, and safety systems. Some hardware features are described by BMW, but these do not amount to a complete spec sheet published by Figure.

Finally, independently measured performance, the success rate behind the demonstration videos and whether tasks can be reproduced outside the evaluations presented by the company have not been established.

The available information therefore confirms that the Figure 03 exists, along with its main specifications, the documented work at BMW, the announced agreement with Catalyst Brands and the production ramp-up claimed for BotQ. It does not show that a private individual can currently buy a Figure 03 and have it delivered, particularly in France.
