LimX Dynamics (逐际动力) is a Chinese robotics company based in Shenzhen. Its lineup includes two humanoid robots, Oli and Luna, along with the TRON 1 and TRON 2 platforms. In 2026 it raised about $400 million in six months. The first round was a Series B announced in February, the second a Pre-IPO round closed in July. The Chinese business press puts its valuation at RMB 15 billion and credits it with several thousand cumulative orders across all product lines.

Who is LimX Dynamics? A Shenzhen company founded in 2022

According to CnEVPost, LimX Dynamics was founded in January 2022 and is headquartered in Shenzhen. Zhang Li, formerly chief operating officer at WeRide, has been the company’s co-founder and COO since November 2023. 36Kr names Zhang Wei as CEO.

The company’s official news feed records several milestones:

  • 23 July 2025: a strategic partnership with SAIC Beijing, setting up a joint laboratory dedicated to embodied AI;
  • 12 January 2026: the unveiling of COSA, an agentic operating system, followed by version 0.5 on 15 July 2026;
  • 2 September 2026: a partnership with ZINOVA in the construction sector;
  • 23 September 2026: a tennis robot co-developed with 英汉思.

The ordering page on the official website lists four products: Luna, TRON 2, Oli and TRON 1. It is not an online shop. It is a sales enquiry form, and the team commits to getting back to the requester within 24 hours. The page gives an email address for enquiries and a Chinese WhatsApp number.

LimX Oli: full-size humanoid robot, price and specs

LimX opened pre-orders for Oli on 30 July 2025, with a China price “starting from” 158,000 yuan. TechNode converts this to $21,800 and CnEVPost to $22,730. TechNode and IT-Home describe Oli as a general-purpose humanoid robot available in three versions, Lite, EDU and Super, without giving a price for each. According to both outlets, Oli is aimed at AI researchers, robotics developers and solution integrators. The official product page, for its part, refers to “several versions of the LimX Oli series” without naming them.

IT-Home had announced Oli’s first public demonstration for 8 August 2025 at the World Robot Conference (WRC) in Beijing. On 13 August, LimX’s news feed reported a broadcast on CCTV and an award won at the WRC. On 30 September 2025, the company published a demonstration titled “Oli picks up tennis balls fully autonomously”.

Sources disagree on the number of degrees of freedom (DoF). The product page and the launch announcement give up to 31: 2 in the head, 7 per arm, 3 in the waist and 6 per leg. TechNode and IT-Home specify that this total excludes end effectors. The specifications page, which covers only the “Oli EDU” version, lists 33 active DoF. LimX does not explain the two-DoF difference.

On the software side, the product page lists:

  • full development in Python, with a modular SDK and open high-level and low-level APIs;
  • a complete URDF file for sim-to-real transfer;
  • compatibility with simulators including NVIDIA Isaac Sim, MuJoCo and Gazebo;
  • bilingual voice interaction in Chinese and English;
  • 15 preloaded interactions and dances, with a dance library updated over the air (OTA).

Full details of the model are on the page LimX Oli: profile, versions and specifications.

Several Western retailers list Oli at prices well above the Chinese entry price:

  • In Germany, Funduino offers the “Oli EDU” at €84,999 incl. VAT, plus shipping. The stated lead time is 21 working days. For schools and businesses, advance payment temporarily replaces purchase on invoice.
  • In the United States, Robotics Center lists an “Oli Lite” at $46,600, plus estimated shipping of $1,424.50, for a pre-tax total of $48,024.50. The product is out of stock with restocking planned, and the standard lead time given is 4 to 6 weeks. This retailer quotes a battery life of about 2 h and a net weight of 40 kg. It states that the depth cameras, LiDAR and hands are not included.
  • Knoxlabs, also in the United States, shows “starting from” $72,000 while also stating “price on request”. The retailer requires a 100% deposit, and all sales are final.

The terms for getting hold of the robot are covered in Can you buy a LimX Oli?. A comparison with other models on the market is in the Humanoid robot prices guide.

LimX Luna: price and specs of the second humanoid

The official news feed dates the launch of LimX Luna to 25 May 2026 and the detailed announcement to 26 May. Luna stands 160 cm tall and has 27 DoF excluding end effectors. Its battery lasts up to 4 hours per charge, and the robot can also run on external power. The company advertises synchronised control of up to 200 units and 10 preloaded dances.

In China, the retail price is set at RMB 298,000, with a discount of RMB 40,000 for the first 100 customers. Pre-orders are open worldwide. According to 36Kr, the first Luna units were delivered to customers in China and abroad less than a month after launch.

LimX TRON 2: price and pre-order

LimX unveiled TRON 2 on 18 December 2025. Its entry price in China is RMB 49,800 (“4,98 万起”). Pre-orders opened on the day of the announcement. According to 36Kr, TRON 2 is being ordered in batches, both in China and abroad.

LimX TRON 1

TRON 1 appears on the official order form. CnEVPost also lists it in the lineup, alongside Oli and TRON 2.

LimX Dynamics key figures: a $200m Series B in February 2026, a Pre-IPO round of nearly $200m at a valuation of RMB 15bn, and Luna priced at RMB 298,000 in China.

LimX Dynamics funding: about $400 million in six months

According to CnEVPost, LimX first closed a strategic funding round in May 2024. A Series A worth several hundred million RMB followed in July 2024.

The Series B, announced on 2 February 2026 and confirmed on the company’s news feed, reached $200 million. It brought in three new investors, Stone Venture (United Arab Emirates), Oriental Fortune Capital and CoStone Capital. Nio Capital and Shangqi Capital, a SAIC subsidiary, increased their stakes.

On 14 July 2026, 36Kr and ChinaVentureNews reported a Pre-IPO round of nearly $200 million, or about RMB 1.36 billion, at a post-money valuation of RMB 15 billion. This round brings the total raised in six months to $400 million, or about RMB 2.72 billion. Participants include IDG Capital, Lens Technology, GGG Group and Redstone VC, Hua Capital (Huashan according to the Chinese version of 36Kr), Hefei Binhu and Stone Venture. CEO Zhang Wei puts the share of foreign investors at “more than 70%”. The official news feed mentions this Pre-IPO round in an undated entry.

LimX Dynamics orders: several thousand reported

According to 36Kr, LimX claims “several thousand cumulative orders”, more than half of them from outside China. The figure covers the entire lineup. The press names research, education, commercial services, inspection, industry and construction as customer sectors.

What we do not know yet

  • Oli pricing: LimX publishes no official price for each Oli version (Lite, EDU, Super). No price outside China has been given, either for Oli or for Luna, whose international price is only described as “coming soon”. The valuation at the time of the Series B has not been disclosed either.
  • Oli versions: the content and specifications of the Super version have not been published. Nor have the official differences between Lite and EDU, or the manufacturer’s figures for the Lite version’s battery life and weight. The reason for the gap between 31 and 33 DoF remains unexplained.
  • Oli deliveries and customers: no Oli delivery has been documented by the company or the press. The number of units delivered, actual lead times and customers are all unknown. Reported orders are not broken down by product, no customer is named, and no delivery volume has been published.
  • Europe: no French retailer has been identified. In Europe, only Funduino (Germany) lists a price. The warranty period outside China and how after-sales service is organised in Europe are not known.
  • Other products: the detailed configurations of TRON 2 and the specifications of TRON 1 have yet to be verified.
  • Oli’s future: LimX has published nothing on Oli’s positioning since Luna arrived.
