The Booster T1 is sold in France by Génération Robots, based in Mérignac. This humanoid robot, designed for research and development, is being offered used, with a 20% discount on a demonstration unit.

Developed by Booster Robotics, the T1 is an open-source humanoid platform for laboratories, universities and development teams. French retailer Génération Robots describes it as programmable equipment, compatible with ROS 2 and suited to experiments in locomotion, perception and robotic manipulation.

Used Booster T1 price at Génération Robots

Génération Robots lists a used Booster T1 Standard at €31,200 incl. VAT, or €26,000 excl. VAT. The original list price is €39,000 incl. VAT, which amounts to a 20% discount.

The retailer says the unit is a former demonstration model. Its product page shows one unit in stock, with shipping announced within 24 to 48 hours depending on delivery conditions. The offer covers limited stock that will not be replenished once sold out.

Génération Robots lets buyers order the robot directly or request a quote. The company accepts payment by bank card, bank transfer and administrative purchase order, an option that is useful for French public institutions.

Booster T1 specs: a ROS 2 humanoid platform for research

The Booster T1 is designed to let developers work on the movements and interactions of a humanoid robot. Génération Robots highlights in particular its open architecture and programming interfaces.

The main specifications announced by the retailer are as follows:

  • Onboard computing: NVIDIA AGX Orin processor, with a claimed 200 TOPS for artificial intelligence workloads.
  • Programming: control API, ROS 2 compatibility and simulation environments.
  • Perception: depth camera and 9-axis IMU.
  • Interaction: built-in microphones and speaker.
  • Control: access to joints, sensors and advanced motion control interfaces.

This hardware supports the development of applications in locomotion, environmental perception and human-robot interaction. The T1 is therefore a hardware base for testing algorithms and experimental scenarios, rather than a domestic robot offering ready-to-use household tasks.

Booster T1 configurations: Standard, grippers or dexterous hands

Génération Robots offers three configurations of the Booster T1, which differ mainly in their grasping equipment.

  • Standard: 23 degrees of freedom, for work on locomotion, balance and perception.
  • With grippers: 31 degrees of freedom, for developing simple pick-and-place operations.
  • With dexterous hands: 41 degrees of freedom, for experimenting with finer manipulation.

This modularity lets research teams choose a configuration suited to their experiments. The versions fitted with grippers or hands also require the development of appropriate manipulation controls and scenarios.

Booster T1 battery life by usage mode

According to the specifications provided by Génération Robots, the Booster T1 has a claimed battery life of 2 hours when walking and 4 hours when standing. These figures reflect the usage conditions stated by the retailer and are not the results of independent testing.

The robot is also presented as a platform for studying balance, posture transitions and getting back up. Teams can use its control interfaces to program and evaluate different motor behaviours.

Buying the Booster T1 in France: a retailer for labs and universities

Génération Robots is based in Mérignac, near Bordeaux. It supplies robotics equipment to companies, laboratories and higher education institutions. It also has an engineering department specialising in the integration and development of robotic solutions.

For French buyers, this local presence provides a sales contact for drawing up a quote and arranging an order. Génération Robots also offers after-sales service provided by engineers specialising in robotics and integration, with a commitment to give a first response to support requests within 24 business hours.

The Booster T1 product page also displays a CE certification mark. For deployment in a laboratory, school or company, actual operating conditions and safety measures still need to be adapted to the planned experiments.

The used unit currently on offer is the Standard configuration. Institutions that want to develop grasping applications can turn to the configurations with grippers or dexterous hands in the Booster T1 range.
